Why wouldn’t you call your band this? They’re just so popular these days

These guys are so cool. The music video is so cool. I bought the CD. Online. I know. Pretty radical from my side. Yolandi probably heard of these guys WAY before any of us did as they come from the US. She’s probably heard many cool bands that we haven’t been exposed to yet. Lucky girl. Speaking of being exposed, I was once… um, err wait, that’s for a different blog. Oh well never mind. Enjoy

So sorry to have left you. I was merely distracted. Yes, I know it’s been almost a year. I really am sorry. I have been fine tuning my hearing skills for picking out some special songs. Let’s see if I can keep the beat going. Yolandi. You Rock.

Noah and the Whale – 5 Years Time

This British band released this song last year. I didn’t stop listening to it. It’s cute, and so is the video. That’s why it reminds me of you. Also reminds me of art class. Sitting outside the Neelsie. Yay

La Roux – Bulletproof

Who knows? Maybe this song will be big, maybe not. It’s a newby over here in London. Please let me know what you think about it. Please.

Truth is, she scares me. I don’t know what it is, but I would need some garlic or a few stakes to keep her put.

Wow, what a disappointment!!! I’ve heard this song a few times on adverts/ringtones, etc. But when I found the music video, I was horrified. Yikes, those guys are scary. The lyrics are a bit lame, but the chorus is very catchy. Oh so catchy. So just enjoy the song. Shake it Yolandi, shake it!!!

Nena – 99 Red Balloons

These 80’s video’s make me laugh. And puke. At the same time. I mean, c’mon, where’s the fashion sense Nena? Did they not have designers back in the day?

Ok, let me just breath. Troye, this song is for Yolandi, say something nice. Umm. Yolandi sometimes wore a white dress with red spots, or was it the other way around? Couldn’t tell from looking at the Mec screen for 16 hours. But you get the drift. It was lovely, just like myolandi.

(Did you see what I did there with the clever play on words? Brilliant, just brilliant.)

No playlist would be complet without it. I said NO PLAYLIST!! That’s right. This little number reminds me of typing and slamming the mouse down at the back of the MecLeb, while at the same time bopping my head and singing the odd line to Yolandi. She ofcourse, was doing the same to me. Bless her.

Fockers – Late of The Pier

So I happened to stumble on this video, and thought you might appreciate it. You might not. I don’t know. But what I do know is that you’re awesome and I think we should get an apartment together. Just a thought. Use it. Don’t use it. Up to you.

I haven’t even finished watching the whole video. It’s just too much for me. Too much. Can never get too much of the Yolandi magic though!

MAGIC!!!

Matt Costa – Mr Pitiful

Now this is a super-dooper-trooper of a song. I first heard it in a shop in California, and what do you know, it’s filmed in San Francisco. Quite possibly, one of the prettiest cities I’ve ever been to. [Think Cape Town, but on a larger scale, like Jo’burg, but with more hills, like Durban. Hmmm]

Yo, this song, is for you. Hey wait… I think all these songs are for you. What a G-E-N-I-U-S idea!
So clever are we. Hit it!

You know, every time I listen to that, I get sad when it finishes. Don’t you. But then I just click the play button and it starts again, and I’m not sad anymore. Problem solved. Done.

Fascination – Alphabeat

This song ALWAYS reminds me of Yolandi and Charl, not sure why? They always used to play this in the gym I go to. Running on the treadmill, bouncing along, trying to dance at the same time. The two don’t mix, don’t try it.
